OpenAI's wants ChatGPT to be THE interface for all other apps on your device

Today, Nick Turley - the head of product for ChatGPT - testified during Google’s Antitrust trial that OpenAI would be interested in buying the Chrome browser, if it were spun off.

This confirmed a simmering feeling that I had for a while, which is that OpenAI wants ChatGPT to become “Cursor” for everything and every task - on both browser and device (see OpenAI’s enterprise strategy).
